We create our products with care.

Our Mission

We wanted to make a difference, so we came together to design a high-quality product that contained the goodness of dairy, plus essential nutrients needed for healthy strong bones.

Our first high calcium milk, Anlene, was launched in 1991.

In 1991, we launched Anlene, our first fortified high-calcium milk. This product, together with our Bone Scan events, played an important role in educating people about the importance of maintaining good bone health so they can stay mobile and independent.

Championing adults to live in their prime

Since then, we’ve gone from focusing on bone health to offering a range of products that support a healthy, active lifestyle for adults of all ages.

However, one thing has remained unchanged: our belief that every single product should be specially created to support your health needs. Every formulation is carefully designed by our research scientists, nutritionists and product developers to contain essential nutrients that support your health and wellbeing.

Because living in your prime is not just about being healthy, it’s about being able to do the things you love, anytime, anywhere.

Today, we are found in 18 countries worldwide, providing advanced dairy nutrition to adults of all ages so they can live life to the fullest.

*Osteoporosis is a medical condition in which the bones become brittle and fragile from loss of tissue, typically as a result of hormonal changes, or deficiency of calcium or vitamin D.

Sources and Data Disclaimers:

[1] Of the top 15 dairy exporting countries (based on annual dairy product export volumes in 2023 and including New Zealand), only Ireland operates a similar pasture-based model to New Zealand. Based on Irish data presented in O’Brien et al. 2018, dairy cows in Ireland have access to pasture, on average, 255 days per year.  Fonterra’s data shows that in New Zealand, our farmers’ cows spend, on average, 97% of their non-milking time outside on pasture which is more than over 350 days of a year on average. This is calculated annually and reported as a rolling three-year average.

[2] The data from Fonterra’s farmer shareholders in New Zealand over the last three seasons (covering the period 1 June 2021 – 31 May 2024), shows that, on average, 96% of Fonterra cows’ diet on an “as consumed basis” is grass and pasture (which equates to 89% on a “dry matter” basis) and 97% of the cows’ time is spent outdoors on pasture.
